September 11th Rolling Requiem Tribute Moving to Safeco Field
Huge demand for tickets spurs the move.
Seattle, Washington, USA - With demand building for the Rolling Requiem tribute, event organizers announce that the venue has been changed from the Paramount Theater to Safeco Field. More than 5,000 people have reserved tickets to the Rolling Requiem and requests continue to pour in. The Seattle Mariners have donated the use of SAFECO Field for the event.
Tickets for the tribute are available from any Ticketmaster outlet in Washington, Oregon or British Columbia. Tickets may also be obtained online at www.ticketmaster.com. Tickets are free and Ticketmaster is waiving all its fees for this event.
"We feel it is important to respond to the community's desire to come together in this way to commemorate September 11th," says Rolling Requiem chairwoman Madeline Johnson. "Although the stadium's full capacity is 47,000 guests, our current funding limits that number to 20,000. If additional funding comes through and the interest remains strong, more seating may be made available."
The Rolling Requiem Committee wishes to thank the Paramount Theater and staff for its significant support of the Rolling Requiem tribute.
The Rolling Requiem Committee is actively raising funds to cover the other operational costs associated with the event, including security, traffic management, sound, and lighting. Contributions can be made online at www.rollingrequiem.org or mailed to:
