The Rolling Requiem Committee invited every choir to make heart badges for singers to wear. Each badge bore the name of one who perished on 9-11. Many choirs also provided badges for their instrumental musicians and the audience.
Because each choir was free to design its own badges, many did. The designs are wonderful. Some of them are displayed below. Photos of these and others will be published in a forthcoming book on the Rolling Requiem and incorporated into a documentary about the worldwide event.

Following their tributes, choirs sent the badges their members wore to the Rolling Requiem Committee. Members sorted the badges, grouping them according to names. We notified a relief agency in New York that has worked with the families of the victims. The agency has contacted each family to tell them that the heart badges are available, if the family would like to have them. Working with the agency, we are forwarding the heart badges to each family who wants them.
