Madeline, Event Chair and Finance Subcommittee
Madeline brings over twenty years of experience in the strategic development, management and implementation of visionary projects. She has served in a variety of positions, in both the public and private sectors. Highlights of her career include overall strategy and implementation of a federal policy initiative that opened the door for the development of a multi-billion dollar private satellite launching industry, several high profile leveraged buyouts and pioneering research in forecasting emerging public policy issues.
Holly, Event Vice Chair
Holly is a Disaster Crisis Counseling Consultant with more than 15 years
of experience in working with trauma and disaster victims. She is also
the administrator of a foundation whose mission is the promotion of
choral music, providing relief to victims of disaster and developing and
making available therapeutic arts projects.
Marcie, Event Vice Chair & Choir Contacts Subcommittee
Born in Seattle, Marcie grew up in the Los Angeles area and then returned to Seattle in 1996. Marcie teaches vocal workshops in Seattle, and taught for many years in Los Angeles, where she had her own vocal studio and performance arena. Her workshops give "freeway" and "shower" singers; "wanna-be" and "would-be" singers permission to sing and introduces them to the personal empowerment in moving through performance fears. In addition, Marcie sings Alto II in the Seattle Symphony Chorale; sings/chants and co-directs a Mystical Chant group called "Tiferet"; is a Cantorial soloist and sings in a trio. She believes that voice and tonal/sound is universal to all life and holds the potential for spiritual, emotional and physical healing. In addition, Marcie has been an Executive Assistant for over 25 years, in various fields from Business Management to Hospitality.
Andrea, Communications Subcommittee
Andrea was born in central Pennsylvania and grew up three miles from Ground Zero, so the events of 9/11 hold a special place in her heart. She previously worked at the New York City Mayor's Office of Film, Theatre & Broadcasting, which has been instrumental in bringing contacts for New York to the committee. Andrea was also a photo correspondent at Geo Magazine in New York, photo editor for Runner's World Magazine,manager of the International Department at West Light photo agency in Los Angeles, and sales manager at Tony Stone Images in Seattle. She and her husband now photograph travel destinations around the world.
Eugenia, One Voice for One Lost Subcommittee
Eugenia is an Administrative Assistant at a local hospital, and has worked
in various administrative positions since college. Her involvement in music
has been constant: in large choirs, small intimate groups, and as a church
soloist. She is well aware from her personal experience of the power of music and the human voice for communicating, supporting, healing, and uniting people.
Kathleen, Local Tribute Subcommittee
Kathleen is a banker in Seattle with over 20 years experience in the financial
industry, in both the international and domestic sectors. She holds an MBA
in International Finance from St. John's University. Her father is a
retired NYC Fire Captain who lost many close friends and colleagues in the
attack. She spent eight years of her career in Manhattan, including three
years in 2 World Trade Center.

Terry
As the initial contact point and the impetus for the project, Terry was the
chorister who had the chance encounter with the Seattle Symphony patron.
Terry passed the patron's vision for a concert at Ground Zero to the Chorale
via email. With a Masters in Museum Studies and Non-Profit Administration,
Terry has been involved with many non-profit organizations over the past
twelve years.
Sister Mary Jo
Mary Jo is a Dominican Sister from Columbus, Ohio. She has taught high
school science, math and drama for many years and is currently the Pastoral
Associate for Liturgy and Music at her church in Bellevue, WA. Much of her
early career was spent in New York, where many of her friends have lost
loved ones in the September 11 attacks.
Dawn
Dawn is a customer service representative for a prominent medical insurance
company. She enjoys this and finds satisfaction in helping others. Dawn
would like to do what she can to commemorate the events of September 11th by
helping put together this event and using her voice to pay tribute to those
who were lost.
George
George is a retired educator who spent 34 years as a teacher and
administrator with the Henry George School of Social Science, a national,
adult education institution that conducts programs on political economy and
property tax reform. He spent the last 9 years of his career as Executive
Director and Education Director of the national headquarters in New York
City. He was a frequent visitor to the World Trade Center and lived three
blocks south of Union Square, a rallying point for mourners after the
tragedy.
Mary Ann, Chorusmaster for the Rolling Requiem
Mary Ann, a native of Portland, Oregon, is Artistic Director of Seraphim Music and Music Director of St. Paul's Parish, Seattle.
Mary Ann has conducted several Symphony Chorale SummerSings programs at the invitation of the Seattle Symphony, and has served as a musical assistant to the Seattle Symphony Chorale. She has also conducted the University of Washington Symphony Orchestra. She is presently in the Doctoral Program for Choral Conducting at the University of Washington.
Since 1984 Mary Ann has sung with the professional chorus of the Grammy award-winning Oregon Bach Festival, conducted by Helmuth Rilling, and has toured Europe with Mr. Rilling's International Bachakademie of Stuttgart. Mary Ann has sung numerous choral concerts with Robert Shaw in Carnegie Hall, New York, as part of a training program for conductors, where she was the recipient of a Carnegie Corporation scholarship. In addition, she has performed at the National Convention of the American Choral Director's Association and for the World Symposium on Choral Music.
A teacher with 30 years experience, Mary Ann created a musicianship program for the Seattle Symphony Chorale, which she also taught at Seattle Central Community College and to other local choral groups. Mary Ann earned her Bachelor and Master's Degrees in music from the University of Oregon and Boston University, both in piano performance. Mary Ann is a member of the American Choral Director's Association, and the American Guild of Organists. She has recorded with the Seattle Symphony, the Oregon Bach Festival, and the St. James Cathedral Choir.
