Kaliningrad, Russia St Nicolas church choir/ vocal ensemble "Miniature"
"Our performance getting started at 12th of September in Concert Hall of Kaliningrad Philarmony at the evening. There was the concert of Russian Orthodoxal music. Our spectators was the group of European politics from Denmark, France and Germany, who visited our city with official purposes and the Russian guests also. In the beginning we declare the dedication of this concert. The performance consists of prayers and spiritual songs of Orthodoxal Church of XVIII and XIX centuries. Some of them are interconfessional such like Otche Nash (Pater Noster) etc. All the members of choir wearing the "heart badges" with the names of commemorated persons. We took part in unusual way to realize the Rolling Requiem idea (within the Requiem on it's own)but it is the only way to being united with all of the musicians in common way! God Bless you all! "As a member of the Tel Aviv Chamber Choir I was honored and very excited to take part in the "Rolling Requiem" international project. I think that music may be the global language in which people can overcome limits and find the common ground between them. I want to hold on to my strong belief that Peace is possible, even though the situation seems so hopeless and helpless on the past 2 difficult years. As an Israeli civilian I know how it's like to face terror on our everyday life, it's very hard to stay optimistic. Singing and listening to the great masters works helps me find the strength. I wrote about our concert on the Israeli classical forum... "[From Klassi.net] (In Hebrew)
