Divine Word Chapel, Techny, Illinois, on Wednesday September 11, 2002. The Divine Word Chapel is located on Waukegan Road, approximately one mile north of Willow Road and two miles south of Lake Cook Road (near Northbrook, Illinois). The performance was co-presented by Chicago Master Singers and the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest, Illinois, with the Divine Word Chapel serving as host. The performance began with words of welcome and remembrance at 8:30 am, performance of Mozart's masterwork at 8:46 am, and concluded roughly at 10:00 am with a benediction. Local clergy officiated. Soloists for the event were Gail Beckman (soprano), Julia Bentley (mezzo soprano), Kurt R. Hansen (tenor), and Peter Van De Graaff (bass).

Rockefeller Memorial Chapel, 5850 South Woodlawn Avenue, The University of Chicago Campus. Concert at 8 p.m. Program opened with reflective readings by Chicago NBC Channel 5 news anchor DIck Johnson and small-group choral and string compositions. Beginning at 8:46 p.m., Peter Lipari conducted the West Suburban Symphony Orchestra and a combined chorus in a performance of the Mozart Requiem.
