School of Music Recital Hall. Members of the Choral Department performed the famous and moving Requiem as an open reading with orchestra by and for the students of the Indiana University School of Music and singers from various choirs in the Bloomington Community.

"I saw a brief article a month ago, just as school was starting. I decided immed that my high school students could learn the lacrymosa movement of the requiem. Since the tenor part is so high, my girl's choir is singing 3 of the SATB parts, along with my SATB Choir which is quite small...only 26 singers. We will perform this at 8:46 in our central lobby at school on Wed. am. The beauty of this work really touches my kids. They have difficulty with their mixed feelings and youthful exuberance beating away as we sing such sad and deeply moving music. This is quite a project for them."
